After having your first, the reality of time you once had for you is further away than the last thing on your mind. Caught in a whirlwind of emotions, hormones and the fact that you are now full time 100% every second of your day caring for someone else more than you ever cared for yourself. Nappies, feeding time, walking, going here, going there, washing this, washing that. To do list is never ending. You grab any food on the go. Sometimes just coffee. A quick breakfast bar. Sugar & Caffeine for energy to get through your day. Blood sugar levels up and down all day keeping the cycle going into the next. Day by day little by little affecting our mood, hormones, stress levels, quality of sleep, weight loss/weight gain, energy levels..our overall health and wellbeing.
Just for a minute. Imagine. You became more focussed. You had a routine where your day was organised. Apart from the normal sleepless nights experienced by "nearly" every Mam on the planet, your body felt more rested. You actually felt like you had more energy. You were sleeping better. You became more aware of what you ate and why. You became more present in your day. You formed really good healthy eating habits that were sustainable and lifelong.
Sometimes it can mean having someone there who supports, encourages and guides you along the way to that familiar place, routine or feeling that you once felt. Believe me i've been there...felt that... did that 3 times over.
