Prioritise mindful movements over “just because I have to” exercise.

20 minutes is all you need if you know what to do - and most importantly, to see if you enjoy it.

I (obviously) love pilates and wish that everyone could give it at least a try. But I also get that this might not be everyone’s cup of tea. You might prefer running, cycling or swimming, or going to the gym… and that’s fine - as long as you enjoy what you’re doing.

You don’t work out just to look good (or at least it shouldn’t be the only reason). You do it to feel good, as well. Is what you’re doing making you happy?

If the answer is yes, I’m glad, whatever that is. If it’s not, you might give pilates a try (and I promise I won’t take it personally if it’s not your cup of tea).

Exercising not only keeps you in shape, but it also actually makes you happy.
The endorphins that are released when we exercise are the natural boost we all need.

“But I don’t like going to the gym.” Great, there are many other things you could try.

Because of covid, I set up my online pilates classes for all my lovely ladies. There is a new 20 minute class uploaded everyday, and it’s only a euro per day (€29 per month)

It’s true, my online lessons can be done wherever and whenever. But, I’ll let you in on a little secret. The path to success is through routine.

I know you’re all very busy, so one day you’ll check your class at 8 AM, and the day after at 6 PM, and that’s fine. I ask you one thing, for the sake of your mind and body, if you can, try to make a habit out of it.

You know that every day you have a 20 minutes’ gap in your schedule? Great, that’s your happy little moment of self-care!

Getting started is always the most challenging part. But once you do, oh the wonders you will do.
Trying and not succeeding is always better than not trying - you will get there with perseverance and practice, and you have all the time in the world.
Should we talk about the satisfaction of looking back and seeing how far you’ve come?

The longer it takes you to start, the longer it will take you to get where you want to be.

Especially for those of us who spend our days hunched over a desk, it’s necessary to remind our bodies what they’re capable of. With the mind so absorbed by work, your body is the anchor that keeps you grounded.

Even just pulling your chair away from the desk will provide you a little chance to help your mind reconnect to the whole. You are a human, not a machine.
