Congratulations to Ellen Duggan and Debbie O'Rourke on their presentation at the International Association for Community Development World Community Development Conference in Glasgow, showcasing the vital role Family Resource Centres play in supporting families, strengthening communities, and empowering individuals.

✨ A Very Special Visit to Our Community Centre ✨

On 29 May 2026, we were honoured to welcome President Catherine Connolly to our community centre for a wonderful afternoon of conversation, connection, and celebration.

The President met with members of our community groups including The Golden Girls, Singing for Well-being, We Grow Group, Ukrainian & New Communities Support Group, Men's Group, Mens' Shed, Youth Club, Pins & Needles, Women's Group, and the Newbridge Disability Access Group. Each group shared their experiences and showcased the incredible contribution they make to building a stronger, more inclusive community.

From music and creativity to friendship, well-being, learning, advocacy, and support, the visit highlighted the positive impact that community groups have in bringing people together and creating a sense of belonging for all.

A sincere thank you to President Connolly for taking the time to meet our members, listen to their stories, and recognise the importance of community-led initiatives. It was a memorable day that will be treasured by everyone who attended.
