National IMHA Harrier Show Championships

At IMFHA Show at Strandbally, Co Laois on Sunday 3rd July 2016.

Over 1,500 Euro in prizes & Trophies
Plus:- the Geary Perpetual Cup to the “All Ireland Harrier Champion”
the IMHA Perpetual Cup to the “National HAI Hound Champion”

Show shall be divided into two _ Sections.
FOXHOUNDS SECTION: Starting @ 11 am

Class 1: Unentered Dog (whelped after Jan. 1st 2015)
Class 2: Unentered Bitch (whelped after Jan. 1st 2015)
Class 3: Senior Dog
Class 4: Senior Bitch
Class 5: Best Couple (Senior or Unentered)
Class 6: Championship (1st prize winners from classes 1,2,3,4)

Eligibility:
Confined to Foxhounds which are the property of Registered Harrier Hunts affiliated to the HAI.

Section Two of NATIONAL HARRIER SHOW CHAMPIONSHIP. Starting @ 2pm
Eligibility.
Confined to Harrier Hounds which are the property of Registered Hunt Clubs affiliated to the HAI.

Class 8: Unentered Dog (whelped after Jan. 1st 2015)
Class 9: Unentered Bitch (whelped after Jan. 1st 2015)
Class 10: Senior Dog
Class 11: Senior Bitch
Class 12: Best Couple. (entered or unentered)
Class 13: Veteran/Retired Class (dogs or bithces)
Class 14: Harriers Championship (1st prize winners from classes 8,9,10,11,13)

List of rules.

The showing of hounds in the Harriers Section shall be on lead. White Coats.

The showing of hounds in the Foxhound Section shall be off lead, (preferable). Hunt dress / White Coats.

Judges who shall stand in the centre of the ring observing the hounds.

In the event of large entry, hounds may be divided into appropriate numbers to facilitate judging.

The Judges shall select the prize-winners and instruct them to stand at the centre of the ring.

The Judges shall then position the prize-winners in order of preference, 1 to 6 and when happy with selection invite the stewards to take the names of the hounds, handlers and clubs. (Judges decision final

No responsibility will be accepted for injury or death of a hound or damage caused by a hound at show.

Entries:-
Foxhound Section: Per Class – 2 entries per Hunt Club. Six prize winners in every class.
Harrier Section: Per Class – 3 entries per Hunt Club. Six prize winners in every class.

There shall be a fee of €5 for all entries (max €50 per Club) taken on the day.

First orders collected this morning, a few customers collecting at stradbally tomorrow and the rest are packaged and ready for the post.

We will have a representitive at the Association Of Irish Riding Clubs festival on Sunday the 7th of June, if anyone would like to purchase some of our new Clothing range at the festival please be sure to let us know, and we can arrange to have the correct sizes and colours to hand. We do not have a stand there, just a member joining a friend who is competing, but will be there to let you purchase any merchandise for sure.
