Clinical Nurse Specialist - Heart Failure

📍Bon Secours Hospital Limerick
🕓37.5 hours per week

Join our cardiology team and play a key role in delivering specialist heart failure care across inpatient and outpatient services. Working alongside Consultant Cardiologists and the multidisciplinary team, you'll help improve patient outcomes through expert assessment, treatment, optimisation, patient education, and continuity of care.

A suitable candidate will have:
✅Current (or eligible) NMBI registration as an RGN
✅A relevant Level 9 Master's degree (for cANP/ANP applicants)
✅At least 5 years post-registration experience
✅A minimum of 3 years recent experience in cardiology, heart failure, acute medicine or cardiac diagnostics
✅Strong clinical assessment, ECG interpretation, venepuncture and communication skills

This is an excellent opportunity to develop and deliver specialist heart failure services, including nurse-led clinics , medication optimisation, and post-discharge patient support.

Clinical Nurse Manager III

This is a leadership role that is vital in supporting the Nursing management of Bon Secours Hospital Limerick. The post holder will enable enhanced expert clinical leadership and support to the Nursing Team to ensure a safe delivery of a safe, efficient and effective quality service. The CNM III plays a key role in providing clinical and professional leadership and supporting and promoting Nursing values. The CNM III will support our team to ensure the achievement and operationalisation of service initiatives and the strategic goals of nursing and the organisation.

Candidate Criteria:

Be registered, or be eligible for registration, in the General Nurse Division of the Register of Nurses kept by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI]
Ideally have completed or be pursuing a relevant Management qualification.

A suitable candidate will support the clinical function of the nursing team in promoting a high standard of individualised care for the patient and family ,taking account of the physical, emotional , spiritual and social needs of patients and those close to them.

What we are looking for :

- Ability to work as part of a team dedicated to providing a quality service
-Have a flexible approach to work patterns as you will be required to work over 7 days a week
-Having previous experience in a similar role
-Excellent communication skills
