Fancy joining the team behind Ireland's largest Irish-owned precision automation company? We're on the lookout for an experienced Electrician to join us here in Rathkeale.

You'll be building and installing the electrical systems that power the machines our MedTech clients depend on, working with cutting-edge technology alongside a brilliant, friendly team.

Ideally you'll have:

✅ A Level 6 Trade Qualification and 5+ years' experience in industrial electrical/automation
✅ Electrical panel building experience
✅ A bit of know-how around PLCs, robotics and vision systems (a bonus!)
✅ Happy to travel to customer sites when needed

This week we closed out our school tour season.

We had the pleasure of welcoming the 6th Class students of Monagea National School for our final facility tour before the summer. These young people are heading into secondary school in September and starting to think about the subjects and paths ahead of them, and we hope we gave them some food for thought!

They were an exceptionally well-behaved group with some really sharp questions - honestly impressive.

This one was extra special for us too. Our Production Manager John had his daughter Kate among the visiting students 😊

Wishing Kate and all her classmates the very best as they head off on their next big adventure. Secondary school, here they come! 🧡

🌞 Turning Sunshine into Smart Production 🌞

At DesignPro, we’re powering our operations more sustainably every day.

Today, we reviewed our latest solar data, which showed we’ve generated 17,165 kWh over the past year at our 50,000 sq ft production facility.

On its own, that number might not mean much, but the reality is:

🏡 That’s enough energy to power 3-4 Irish homes for a year

🌱 It’s avoiding approximately 5 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually

💶 It’s a system that is delivering consistent cost savings while reducing our exposure to rising energy prices

Putting it simply, our roof is now working as hard as our production team 😁

As we continue to optimise our energy usage, solar is playing a key role in making our facility more cost-effective and environmentally responsible.
