Myrtle, post Christmas, decided to start,
The new year with activities good for her heart,
Improving her lifestyle and cutting out Gin,
A ballet class surely the place to begin.

So, she arrived ready on Tuesday at nine,
The studio was buzzing with bodies so fine,
All beautiful people, no wobbly bums,
Flexing and stretching and toning their tums.

Madame Svetlana arrived at the door,
A real force of nature, at least six foot four,
Curly hair piled on the top of her head
And a cane in her hand, Myrtle looked on in dread!

“To za barre for your Plié, vhy do you delay!?”
And pushing passed Myrtle, “Now out of my way … “
Then she stood by the piano and waving her cane,
“Vhy are you not trying, now do it a-gain!”

Myrtle perspiring her leg muscles burning,
Tendu and frappes, the things she was learning,
With her leg on the barre and her arms in a V,
Emergency struck, she now needed to wee!

Santa Clause was delighted to receive his Myrtle and Marve Christmas Card…but he’s not sure if they should be on the Naughty or Nice list!
