Right people, I need your help. On 21/10/20 I suffered a sudden cardiac arrest , then in March 2022 I suffered a major heart attack due to a stent failure. Being unable to work for so long has left in in a seriously bad financial position with the threat of losing our home if I do not raise €35000 by the end of oct. There are more arrears of over €100000 to be raised in the following 6 months.
I am not asking for money, I have written a book with my full and true experience of the cardiac arrest and the mental, emotional, physical and financial effects. It also has my full story of how I am recovering and the difficulties I still face today. I have had to do as much work as I was physically able for as social welfare has refused to help in any way. Sick benefit, refused as I was self employed, disability was ignored and eventually told over the phone I wasn't sick enough. Job seeker's said I wasn't well enough and the relieving officer said he couldn't help because there was a tax return outstanding , even though I hadn't worked in that period. So my recovery has been hampered and slowed down due to the stress and not being allowed rest.
