The Irish language is one of the oldest living languages in Europe, with its roots stretching back over 2,500 YEARS ☘️ yet only 39.8% of the Irish population can speak it and only 10% can speak it fluently 🇮🇪 Only 2% of the Irish population live in the Gaeltacht. A Gaeltacht an officially recognised region in Ireland where the Irish language remains the primary spoken language of the community. I am so grateful to have been raised in the Gaeltacht of Baile Ghib and having Irish as part of my life since I was a child 🥹 Now my purpose is simple: bring my love of my beautiful ancient language to more people through my music 🩷 thank you so much to everyone who is following this journey with me (there’s over 10.4k of you now!!)
