Play Day on Wednesday 15th July in Enniscorthy's Orchard Peace Park. And it's FREE!

Following the successful event last year, Enniscorthy Municipal District will host a Play Day in the Orchard Peace Park on Wednesday 15th July from 1:30pm – 3:30pm.

Local artist and facilitator Anita Petry will curate the event with artists Jenny Ruddy and Elder Trindade providing creative art and play opportunities for children and young people. A fun afternoon of play and creativity is promised with tug of war, hopscotch, sack race, face painting, and many more activities.

This year there will be the addition of a sensory space to allow for those with sensory issues to take some time out if needed.

The Orchard Peace Park is a 1.2 hectare facility in the heart of Enniscorthy town, is fully accessible from both entry points – Irish Street and at The Presentation Arts Centre (which also has accessible toilets). It is the site of a UN Peace Memorial and the Presentation Sisters’ graveyard. It contains various interesting features, seating, impressive trees, musical instruments and other play elements, and stunning views of Vinegar Hill and the Slaney Valley.

🎨 Peg Person Art Workshops 🎨
Join us for a fun and creative arts & crafts workshop with Loretta Rose!
Designed for children aged 7–12 years, this hands-on session will give participants the chance to create a charming doll figure using clothes pegs and transform it into a unique keyring—perfect for decorating a backpack, sports bag, or jersey.
