Did you know that Dublin College Dundrum, Sydenham Road is located just around the corner from Christ Church Taney, the new home of the original bells featured in James Joyce's 'Ulysses'? Every Bloomsday (16th June), you can hear the bellringers of Christ Church Taney ring the actual bells of St. George's Church, Hardwicke Street – the very bells immortalised in 'Ulysses' as Leopold Bloom listened to their sound across Dublin. A big thank you to the organisers at Christ Church Taney for so warmly welcoming our team and taking the time to show us around. We enjoyed food and fellowship in the sun on the lawn with our annual bring and share bbq with delicious Michael Fleming - Kilmacud/Stillorgan mini burgers today 😋 The children handed out activity packs, read prayers and the bible readings at the 1015 service, then all gathered together afterwards for this popular annual tradition ...with a surprise visit from Taney Bear too 🐻🥗🍔🌞🧁
