Toales welcomes two of Ireland’s most exciting tribute acts on Friday, August 14, as Red Hot Cheeky Peppers and Everlong join forces for a huge double-headline show.

Red Hot Cheeky Peppers are an all-female tribute to funk-rock giants Red Hot Chili Peppers, bringing their own energy and attitude to a catalogue packed with favourites including “Californication,” “Under the Bridge,” “Give It Away” and “Can’t Stop.” The Dublin-based group have quickly begun making their mark on the Irish live circuit.

Sharing top billing are Everlong, an Irish Foo Fighters tribute celebrating the music of Dave Grohl, including his work with Nirvana and QOTSA. Audiences can expect a set drawn from three decades of stadium-sized rock, including “Learn to Fly,” “The Pretender,” “Monkey Wrench” and, naturally, “Everlong.” The group have performed at venues across Ireland, earning a reputation for delivering the passion and punch of a full Foo Fighters show.

With two complete tribute sets on one bill, the night promises a celebration of two of alternative rock’s biggest and most enduring catalogues.

Dundalk indie-folk favourites Orwells ’84 headline the Fireside Sessions at Toales on Thursday, August 13, with Carrickmacross musician Zac McCormick opening the night.

Known for blending indie rock, folk and traditional influences, Orwells ’84 combine strong melodies with cello, violin and acoustic instrumentation. Their debut album, The Crucible, helped establish the group as one of the region’s most distinctive original acts.

Support comes from Zac McCormick, a one-man performer from Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. His set normally mixes crowd favourites by artists including Zach Bryan and The Tumbling Paddies but this night sees him focusing more on his own original songs.

The show continues the Fireside Sessions’ commitment to showcasing original and independent music in the intimate surroundings of Toales.
