Today’s Seanad Order of Business includes:
• Motion regarding the proposed approval by Seanad Éireann, pursuant to Section 10 of the Airgrid Electricity and Turf (Amendment) Act 2022, to extend TEG2 by one year.
• Second Stage of the Strategic Gas Reserve Bill 2026 with the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment.
• Criminal Justice (International Cooperation on Electronic Evidence and Other Matters) Bill 2026 with the Department of Justice, Home Affairs and Migration.
• Public Health (Single-Use Vapes) Bill 2025 with the Department of Health.

Today, the Seanad displayed the EU flag in the Seanad Chamber for the first time, alongside our national flag, marking Ireland’s assumption of the EU Presidency. The EU flag will remain in the Chamber throughout Ireland’s Presidency, which runs from today until 31 December 2026.
