📣 Just published: Online platform work in the European Union: Implications for working conditions and access to information
Who are online platform workers in the EU and what are their working conditions?
New findings show a workforce that is largely highly educated and engaged in skilled tasks, but where algorithmic management is widespread. Over 40% report being subject to practices such as surveillance, gamification and reduced autonomy.
At the same time, online platform work can provide access to the labour market for groups such as students, homemakers and the unemployed.

📣 Just published: Constrained flexibility: Involuntary non-standard employment in the European Union
Around 9% of workers in the EU are in involuntary non-standard employment, including temporary and part-time roles taken because no alternatives are available.
While rates have declined over time, involuntary temporary work remains widespread, with many workers still unable to secure permanent contracts.
