📖 NEW BOOK RELEASE: *Dance Music Cultures — Rhythms, Roots & Practice*
After years of working as a dance educator, DJ, researcher, and cultural practitioner, I noticed a recurring challenge:
Many people learn the technique.
Many people learn the rhythm.
But very few learn the cultural context behind what they practice.
Dance and music are often treated as entertainment alone, yet they are also powerful vehicles for education, identity, communication, memory, and community building.
This realization inspired me to write *Dance Music Cultures: Rhythms, Roots & Practice*.
The book explores:
✅ The relationship between music, movement, and culture
✅ The historical and cultural foundations behind dance traditions
✅ Dance as a form of communication and living memory
✅ Practical frameworks for educators, dancers, musicians, DJs, and community leaders
✅ How understanding context can enrich practice, creativity, and cultural respect
My belief is simple:
When we understand the stories behind the rhythms, we engage more deeply with the people, communities, and cultures that created them.
This book is designed for dancers, musicians, educators, students, researchers, and anyone interested in the intersection of culture, history, education, and human expression.

🙏 THANK YOU LIMERICK 🙏
A big thank you to Patrick, Raquel and the entire team for inviting me to teach Dominican Bachata (Dance & Music Cultures) and DJ at their monthly party in Amber Nightclub, Limerick. 💃🕺
Thank you to everyone who attended the workshop and joined us on the dance floor afterwards. I hope you took away something useful for your dancing and gained a deeper appreciation of the culture behind Bachata.
🎵 "A dancer is a musician on the dance floor." 🎵
We play the music through our body language, movement, musicality and isolations.
And remember... practice is where the magic happens. ✨
📍 Join me this Wednesday for Kizomba classes at Wednesday Latino Limerick, 101 Bar.
📍 Or catch me at one of my events and social dance nights in Waterford or Kilkenny.
📚 My Dance & Music Cultures book series is also available on Amazon in English and French.
Keep dancing.
Keep learning.
Keep smiling. ❤️
