The super talented Maeve Barry has been shortlisted in the jewellery category of Irish Country Magazines Irish Made awards 2023. This is the last chance to cast a vote - https://t.ly/nhwig

Eve Ray is a contemporary Irish jewellery brand designed and made in Dublin by Maeve Barry. Using mirrored perspex and clay, Eve Ray pieces are inspired by art, Ireland and childhood memories. Maeve’s first collection was inspired by and named after the work of Spanish artist, Joan Miró, incorporating abstract shapes and bold primary colours to create lightweight statement earrings. Eve Ray designs also looks at traditional Irish symbols like the Claddagh and the Shamrock to create contemporary designs that are wearable and unique.

Having studied Graphic Design and with a passion for collecting costume and vintage jewellery, Maeve always wanted to bring her creative side and her love of fashion together to develop a brand that celebrates Maximalist, expressive dressing. Where customers are not afraid of bold colours or statement accessories. FOLLOW for a new collection dropping very soon! Available to buy at https://blondethestore.com/

Some snippets of one of my electro acoustic/video installation pieces that was presented on culture night.

Kursk

This piece tries to capture the horror of the tragic events of Aug 12 2000. An accident on a Russian nuclear submarine strands a crew of sailors at the bottom of the Barents Sea. The piece attempts to recreate the emotion, the claustrophobic conditions and the helplessness of their final moments.

A week later. Sorry thought this had posted here too.

Just wanted to thank all the people who stopped by on Culture Night. It was a huge success. Over the course of the evening we had over 400 people through our doors. Apologies if we didn't get to spend as much time chatting with you as we would have liked. Really hope you enjoyed the night as much as we did.

Thanks to Áine, Deirdre, Eileen, Louise and Maeve for their hard work in making the night such a success. Thanks also to Mark for his choice musical selections
