In 2016, 100 years after The 1916 Rising, Fishamble: The New Play Company took over the GPO on O'Connell Street and wowed audiences with their phenomenal production Inside The GPO by Colin Murphy.

The cast included a whole array of amazing including Liz Fitgibbon, Louis Deslis, Martha Dunlea, Carolyn Donnelly,Tom Duffy, Desmond Eastwood, Ali Hardiman, Daniel McDermott, Meg O'Brien and Gavan O'Connor Duffy.
