Welcome Ingrid!

Ingrid joins the Jobcare team as a CE Supervisor. She is passionate about the power of listening and pastorally caring for people. She is currently undertaking a counselling diploma and is excited to use what she is learning in her new role within Jobcare.

Her career to date has included eight years in the motor trade and more recently, over 12 years' experience in team leadership and administration management.

Outside the office she is a proud mum and wife. She enjoys exercising, movies and the peacefulness of the West of Ireland.

Jobnet and Kickstart participants visited Zendesk last Thursday!

Their team took time to share their own career “zig zags” and pivots. It was a lesson in resilience and continuing to show up while navigating uncertainty.

The discussion was also a reminder that we are not alone - almost everyone experiences a time in their career where finding work feels very difficult.

A big thank you to Zendesk for giving us such an insightful morning!

What do our clients say makes Jobcare different?

For Matthew, it was something about the care that he was shown. Listen to his answer here.

Matthew moved to Ireland, and initially struggled to find a role. With help from our Jobseekers course, we were delighted to hear that he secured work and has started a new role in sales.

Celebrating 30 years of Community Employment!

Did you know that Community Employment was established in 1994? Community Employment gives eligible jobseekers a pathway back to work through up-skilling, training and support.

Jobcare also opened its doors in 1994 and has been providing Community Employment and other essential jobseeking services ever since!

This week we were delighted to receive a plaque that commemorates 30 years of Community Employment. We’re proud to continue assisting jobseekers to find meaningful work through this service.

Remembering Robin Boles

As we reflect on more than 30 years of supporting people into meaningful employment, we pause to remember Robin Boles, who was present at the very beginning of Jobcare’s journey.

Robin, a city centre business owner, saw firsthand the harsh and lasting impact unemployment had on families in his community. Motivated by a desire to see change, he helped lay the early foundations of Jobcare.

While many have contributed to shaping Jobcare over the decades, we are especially grateful today for Robin’s part in its beginning. His vision and compassion helped spark something that has gone on to support thousands of lives.

On behalf of Paul, the team, and all who have walked through Jobcare's doors over the years, we give thanks for Robin‘s life and extend our deepest sympathies to Margaret, his family and all who loved him.
