๐ข IMPORTANT UPDATE โ FAMILY REUNIFICATION IN IRELAND
The Irish Government has introduced new financial requirements for Irish citizens sponsoring a spouse, civil partner, or de facto partner under Category A of the Family Reunification Policy.
From 12 June 2026, Irish sponsors must demonstrate gross earnings of at least โฌ75,000 over the previous 3 years, replacing the previous โฌ40,000 requirement.

Only the Irish sponsorโs income is considered

The sponsor must not have been mainly reliant on State supports from the Irish State for a continuous period of two years or longer immediately prior to the application

Applies to applications received on or after 12 June 2026

Supporting financial evidence must be provided

๐ฎ๐ช IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR TEMPORARY PROTECTION HOLDERS IN IRELAND ๐ฎ๐ช
Ireland has announced a new Temporary Protection Transition Scheme on a Stamp 4 basis for eligible beneficiaries of Temporary Protection. Applications are expected to open in September 2026.

Main eligibility criteria include:
โ๏ธ Living in Ireland under Temporary Protection for at least 1 year
โ๏ธ Employment or self-employment for at least 6 months
โ๏ธ Minimum annual salary of โฌ29,432
โ๏ธ Not living in State-supported accommodation at the time of application
๐ The permission may be granted for up to 2 years and can be renewed thereafter.
๐ Time spent on this permission will count towards naturalisation/citizenship.
More official details are expected in September 2026.
