One of the biggest factors in creating a veil with volume isn’t actually the gathering it’s the fabric.

If you like a reall big veil then you need a fabric with a firm handle.

A softer tulle will drape beautifully and fall closer to the body, creating a more relaxed, flowing look. A firmer tulle, on the other hand, has more body and naturally creates lift and shape.

Think of it like this: you can gather two veils exactly the same way, but if they’re made from different fabrics, they’ll behave completely differently.

When you are designing your veil chossing the right fabric is just as important as the length and finish.
