We are thrilled to announce the return of the National Brown Bread Baking Competition for 2026, with the addition of a Junior Brown Bread Baking Competition, sponsored by .ie in association with the .ireland and !

This year sees a €5,000 cash prize plus a Slide&hide oven worth over €2,000 up for grabs for the senior competitors, with the junior winner taking home a €1,500 Euronics voucher and a matching voucher of the same value going to the winning student’s school. 

The brown bread bake-off finals will take place at the 2026 National Ploughing Championships from 15th - 17th September in Screggan, Tullamore, Co. Offaly!
