We always say Profhilo is to your face regime, like diamonds 💎 are to your wardrobe (and filler is the sculpting & lifting underwear, Botox is the high heels and lasers the smart basics). It’s an expensive finishing touch that many can’t go without. But we've always maintained that it gave better results on the body than the face, so we’re delighted have launched a body version, which we road tested yesterday in D4. It’s the same formula as the famous face version but in bigger does syringes to target larger areas - like chest, arms, tummies, bums - or anywhere the skin lacks volume, bounce and elasticity. It’s injected into lots of micro sites below the dermis, and spreads out like honey, plumping the skin from the inside out. Over the course of a few weeks, it works to stimulate collagen and elastin production, producing a secondary effect of skin tightening. Unlike toxins which freeze muscles, or filler that changes the size and shape of contours, Profhilo simply improves hydration levels, texture, tightness and overall radiance. The results we’ve seen from Profhilo Body seem much more dramatic than the face treatment - akin to body surgery in some cases - but this is possibly because we all tend to do a lot more to the skin on our faces, than bodies, so the results are more evident on the tummy, say than on a face that’s had years of Botox and good skincare too. It’s expensive 💰 to treat a singular body area.. anywhere from E600- E1000, depending on the clinic and experience of the injector (which as always is KEY!!) but if you have pockets of laxity and crepey skin on your body that bug you it might well be worth the splurge. Check out your local Profhilo supplier or DM for your nearest Irish clinic

We're all for new beauty fixes but snorting your way to a bronzer bod has us polarised 😎 🧐 . On one hand it sounds brilliant - a few sniffs of these inexpensive sprays (circa E25 online) a day for a few weeks and the ingredients encourage your skin to naturally turn a deep shade of bronze. Thus it saves the hassle of fake tan, or the dangers or sun-beds or prolonged sun exposure, and the tan lasts for months apparently and is very even and deep. BUT of course there's a catch! Firstly the ingredients are not licensed for use in this way, and there's no science demonstrating safety behind them. Plus there's all sorts of side effects (although we'd be happy with the loss of appetite for a few days!) and then there's a risk of overstimulating melanocytes, which could cause miss-coloured or dark-patches and blotches on the skin and theoretically could even trigger cancerous cells. What do you think - would you take the risk for golden glow? Let us know!! beachbodytransformation

If you feel your filler is not working as well as it once did - you're not alone 🙋‍♀️. 'Filler Fatigue' is a widely reported phenomenon but it's not that the filler isn't working as it once did, it's more a case of expectations running too high and then it becomes very easy to run the risk of overfilling the face and creating a overly puffy, distorted look. A good practitioner, should tell you when enough is enough, but unfortunately many only see $$$ and how hefty your bill will be, so will just keep adding more to your face. Rather than rely solely on filler to help rejuvenate the face, it's better to approach it with multiple modalities -think: lasers, peels, radiofrequency, toxins and mico-needling for a more comprehensive result. Surgical procedures, like a neck and vertical facelift with fat grafting or blepharoplasty (eye lift) may be the better choice to create a youthful look that you wont have to keep chasing with filler every few months to maintain. Hope this helps 😘
