Three fruit boxes are on a table 🍏📦.
Each box is labelled: “Apples”, “Oranges”, and “Apples & Oranges” — but every label is wrong ❌.
You may open one box and take one fruit (without looking inside first) 👀🍎.
From that single fruit, how can you correctly relabel all three boxes? 🤔
✅ Puzzle #2 Solution – Logic in Action
Cara’s hat is red 🎩🔴
Why:
If Anna and Ben both saw two blue hats, Anna would immediately know hers must be red. But she doesn’t.
Ben then also doesn’t know, which means he must be seeing at least one red hat.
When Cara hears this, she realises she must be wearing the red hat!
This is how step-by-step deduction works in maths problems – using what we don’t know, and what others can’t know, to narrow down the possibilities.

Cara: “Now I know my colour!”
