๐ฎ๐ช Erin go Bragh
Ireland forever.
A phrase carried through history, song, politics, postcards, banners, and family memory. Simple words, but for many people, they still hold a deep sense of pride and belonging.

๐ข โEvery time I come back to Ireland, itโs like a part of me heals.โ
For many in the Irish diaspora, that feeling is familiar.
You may not live there. You may not return often. But a road, an accent, a field, a shoreline, or a family story can reconnect something that distance never fully removed.
Some places never leave you.

๐พ Winnowing the Harvest, Donegal, early 20th century ๐ฎ๐ช
This colourised photograph shows a Donegal family winnowing corn in the fields near Rosapenna.
Grain was lifted into the Atlantic breeze so the lighter chaff could blow clear. It was skilled, physical work, relying on timing, strength, weather, and experience.
In rural Donegal, farming depended on cooperation as much as land. Each harvest carried the knowledge of previous generations and the shared labour that helped sustain families through the year.

๐ฆ๏ธ โYou know itโs summer in Ireland when even the rain feels mild.โ
Somewhere between a spell of drizzle and a flash of sun, the countryside carries on as it always has: green, steady, and not overly concerned with the forecast.
You might get wet through, but the view will usually make up for it.
