17th Dalkey Scouts

As it came to the end of the scouting year for our beavers and cubs, the beavers had fun with a slip n’ slide outside the den and cubs took on a beach clean on a busy Monday evening last week at Sandycove. Camping and Hillwalking Badges were then awarded to those who obtained them and our cubs scouts moving up to scouts were honoured. The scouts are away in the Netherlands staying at a scouting campsite Het Naaldenveld having a wonderful time - more photos to follow!

Thanks so much to Dalkey Community First Responders for spending time with our cubs at Monday’s meeting teaching them CPR, how to use a defibrillator and do the Heimlich manoeuvre. Thanks also for patiently answering all the questions from these curious cubs! We are lucky to have such dedicated volunteers in the area.
