Writing desk made from oak and laminate. Lots of thinking behind this one as the leg and drawer section is all one piece!

We had fun making this. We used smoked oak to give it a darker and richer look and the results speak for themselves. The customer wanted a room divider that would accommodate a TV and sound system. It was also required that when the TV was not in use, it could be concealed and give the effect of a continuous wall.The louvred wall was also made as a room divider and to allow light in. It was made using dovetails and copper piping to keep the oak strong and rigid.
