The 2025 edition of The Winter Warmer Festival marked the 10th Anniversary of The Choke Collective!

Originally formed to create a piece of performance art around the sound-scapes and jaw-harp playing of Michau Weber, the group gradually morphed from a theatre-troupe to a collective to what is now essentially a band. In 2015 we performed Tumbling Birds at Sample Studios in the old FÁS building (RIP) as part of Obhéal's Winter Warmer Festival.

To mark the 10th anniversary of this occasion we are proud to release our second studio album, Censored in the Suburbs, this coming Friday...

We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to our journey over the past 10 years, especially every previous and current member of the collective namely, Rab Urquhart, Michau Weber, Ciarán MacArtain, Borko Vranjkovic, Viktor Jaros, Kieran Raftery, Rob Roche, Orla Daly, Mariusz Pasek, Jorge Kachmari, Ida Weber.

We’d also like to thank the bars, venues and festivals that have supported us, in particular The Friary, An Spaipín Fánach, The Roundy, Stanza’s, Obhéal and all of our collaborators at Only Your Footprints.

A shout out to everyone who has come to see us perform, bought an album, supported an event, especially repeat offenders and most especially Phil Spillane who has missed one gig in ten years.

Special word to Marika Weber for many many rehearsals in her front room…

When not laying down big b***d beats in their studio/kitchen, Amylo are seamlessly integrating search engine optimization music electronic Cork rock alternative original music into their online presence.
