Recent HSE data shows that farm transport and machinery incidents remain a leading cause of fatal accidents, with nine transport-related deaths reported in the UK last year alone.

From checking brakes and PTO shafts to ensuring operator training and safe stop practices, silage season brings unique risks — many of which are preventable with good planning, maintenance, and communication.
