McCarthy’s Make a Model Boat Project 2026 sets sail on The Lough this week!

𝗢𝗰𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 - 𝗔𝗻 𝗥𝗮́𝘀 𝗠𝗼́𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀

What a day! A huge THANK YOU to everyone who took part in Ocean to City 2026 and helped create an unforgettable celebration of rowing, paddling, community and Cork Harbour.

This year’s event welcomed over 660 participants across almost 200 entries and four course distances. More than one-third of participants travelled from overseas, joining participants from across Ireland for a fantastic day in Cork Harbour. The Race Hub buzzed throughout the day, crews enjoyed visits aboard the tall ship, and there was no shortage of smiles, stories and fun both on and off the water.

Most importantly, thank you for the patience, positivity and good humour that make Ocean to City such a special event every year. Whether you were chasing a category prize, or were enjoying the experience of completing Ireland’s largest multi-craft race, you helped create an unforgettable day.

The Provisional Prize Winners are now live and include our first round of prize winners. At this stage, only the initial first-prize placings have been allocated. Second- and third-place prizes, along with a range of prize categories to be confirmed (due to the course change), will be announced over the coming days, along with the full race times.
