These 3 gorgeous barn owls were brought in after being found on the ground. It was actually a fellow bird ringer who was contacted by another bird organisation to see about assessing the situation. There was one adult around but there was a deceased adult up the road and we wondered was it hunger that made them jump as 2 are quite thin. James has tall ladders for bird ringing but even they wouldnt reach the nest area. The decision was taken to bring them in with no option to reunite them and 2 of them already not thriving.

They are being support fed now by the team here. They are such dark colouring they are stunning. 🥰

Just as I have gotten the last of my older leverets out the door...we are starting all over again. Two little baby's. Long road ahead but hopefully they will do well. 🥰
Raising babies of different species is expensive work, if you like to help support our work its much appreciated.

Some of our hand reared leverets were released last week after acclimatising in outdoor runs. Hares are such beautiful creatures and we were delighted to be able to help them get back home 🥰

May is over and we are 1 month down of a 4 month marathon. The summer season for wildlife rehabbers is the busiest season due to orphans and injuries.

We know all rescues in Ireland are already flat out trying to help as many animals as they can. Luckily we work together to ensure animals get the best care. 🥰
