After 14 days of cycling/walking, 850km in distance 13,500m in elevation and most importantly as of now €5,400 raised all in aid of I can say with a huge sigh of relief mission complete ✅
I showed every bit of my character over that trip with giving you the most authentic view of what it’s really like. No scripts or edits, no put on accents and more importantly no glamming things up for social media.
I wanted to show a different side to what we consume on social media, it’s usually all about the highlights, the parties, the fancy cocktail bars etc, you never really see behind the mask.
We live in such a transactional and materialistic world where we constantly compare and judge others and I wanted to show something a bit different even if it meant showing every visible sign of exhaustion both physically and mentally. In a way it was my way of saying F U to the pretentious bu****it we consume daily.
I kept going and kept showing up because my “why” was far greater then any pains and aches I could have I was like a man possessed at times but knew at some point that this journey will end and life will be normal again.
“It must have been so hard” is something that gets said often and I look at it differently. Going through radio and chemotherapy sounds like it’s hard to me. Not being able to work, not having an appetite, feeling fatigued all of the time, having to be constant with medications, appointments, people not fully understanding how you are feeling, getting the worst news in the world followed by contradictions and so many unknowns every day, that sounds hard to me. Thinking about those hardships our loved ones go through pushed me every day to be better.
It was all a mind game with myself of course I have soars on my shoulders from a 10kg bag on my back, my back is killing me, my feet my legs are all dead but my undying determination to get to the end and raise €5000 for charity made it all worth it!
The comeback is greater then the setback and please use my story to show you that you can come back from any setback and you can reinvent yourself.
keep building the proof that you can overcome knocks and setbacks

Day 12 over with! 59km done it all felt like it was about to fall apart but made it again somehow.
Somehow managed the end which felt like I was jumping out of a plane with no parachute it went from a 3.5 hour walk with no hope of bike repair or accommodation to a local person going to repair in the morning and a bed for the night.
It shows again the “poor me’s” won’t get you anywhere adapt and be open and most importantly come with solutions not more problems.
As of now that is 12 days in a row travelled with 711km in distance, 11.122m in elevation and most importantly €4,370 raised for out of a target €5000
In my final region of Galicia with mountain ranges of 700m above sea level ahead of me but once this bike gets sorted I’m running up those mountains if I have to I’m going all the way to the end!!!
Thank you to everyone for everything ❤️
