Cork ARC Cancer Support House

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported the Ex Cobh Ramblers vs Brazil Select XI Charity Football Match in aid of Cork ARC Cancer Support House, held last month. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, an amazing €1,488.20 was raised to support people living with cancer and their families.

Thank you to Councillor Sinéad Sheppard and Councillor Cathal Rasmussen for presenting a bouquet of flowers to Mrs. Kane, who is also pictured with the Kane family. We also extend our sincere thanks to Philly, Pat and Margaret for giving their time to help raise awareness on the day. A very special thank you goes to Frances Field (Cork ARC volunteer) for all her hard work and dedication behind the scenes in organising the event.

To everyone who played, volunteered, sponsored, attended, donated, and cheered from the sidelines - thank you. Your kindness and community spirit make a real difference to those who rely on Cork ARC's free services.

It was an absolute pleasure meeting up with the 6th class of Laragh National School on their final day of term last week.

Alannah came up with the idea of a fun day, and her classmates worked together to organise and take part in this recent fundraiser. Two local charities were chosen to benefit from the funds raised, and Cork ARC were delighted to receive a cheque for €1,185 which will go towards supporting the free services Cork ARC provide for people with a cancer diagnosis and their families.

We would like to thank Principal John Lordan, and all the staff who helped with this event and of course, Alannah and the rest of her class for choosing to support Cork ARC. We wish the class all the best in secondary school!
