Bongo Fury Rattery

So... this is the last Bongo Fury litter for the forseeable future. It has been a tough choice to move on from something that has been such a huge part of who we are for so so many years, but it feels like the right time and the right decision.

So please, enjoy these not very good photos of some baby dwarflings

We are still getting quite a few requests to join the waiting list, but sadly we are currently not accepting any new applications. We are slowly winding down our breeding to give up, who knows what may happen in the future, but for now we have passed our golden siamese over to Hannah at Ricochet Rats and Stacey at Torchwood Rats. We are still going to be working on dwarf here, but only until we can pass them to other breeders.

Very sad to announce the passing of our old man rat Bongo Fury Butterkeks. He was a good age and did really well as he definitely had a few little health niggles for the last while. He was such a lovely boy who will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have met him 💔

It's been a rough few weeks, our old dog had been declining and we took the tough decision to have her put to sleep on Thursday, a month after her 18th birthday, which is hard to come to terms with. Thank you for your patience ❤️

Cuties opened their eyes over the last few days! They are such sweet little guys ♥️

Babies are doing well and are at fuzzy hippo stage! We also have a little guy with a strange marking on his shoulder!

These babies though ❤️❤️❤️ looks like 9 boys and 2 girls, so anyone who wants girls from us will be waiting longer I'm afraid as these two are staying here.

Very excited today to announce the birth of a very special litter of 11 babies. Mum is Bongo Fury Ysabeau and dad is Chestnut, a siamese dumbo dwarf that we borrowed shortly after his long journey from the USA. This is the start of a dwarf line at Bongo Fury all being well.

I think I'm up to date with my admin, but it's entirely possible (even likely) that I've missed stuff - so please, if you're still wanting rats from us and feel you *may* have been overlooked, drop me a message or an email and I'll get on it! :)

So it's been a mixed week. We were excited to announce the birth of Lolly's 4 babies, but she is now down to 3... Needless to say they're all staying here.

We also lost the amazing Figwit Churro last week, which was utterly heartbreaking, he had a good long happy life but he was so very very special.

Today we lost Kismet Welshcake who was just a wonderful girl, so soft and gentle and kind always. We will miss her terribly. Can't thank lew and jem at kismet enough for letting us have these wonderful rats ❤️
