🌱 Introducing Castlerahan Growers Society
Castlerahan Growers is a new gardening community for Castlerahan and the surrounding areas, and everyone is welcome to join.

This is a space for people of all experience levels - from complete beginners to lifelong gardeners. The aim is to bring people together to share knowledge, swap seeds and cuttings, exchange ideas, and learn from one another across generations.

We hope this group will facilitate the organisation of informal meet-ups like coffee chats, garden visits, and small community projects, with both online and in-person participation depending on what suits members best.

Looking ahead, we’d love to work towards developing a community garden for everyone to enjoy and get involved in.

If you’re interested in gardening, growing your own food, or just connecting with others locally, you’re very welcome to join.

🚲 High Nellys Rolling Through Virginia Tomorrow! 🚲

The Breffni High Nelly Run takes place tomorrow, Saturday 30th May, and the riders are expected to be at The Square in Virginia between 12:00pm and 12:30pm.

If you've never seen a High Nelly bicycle up close, this is a great chance to catch a glimpse of these wonderful vintage bikes and the riders dressed in traditional attire 🎩🚴‍♂️

The 29km charity spin starts from the Ramor Inn, Munterconnaught, before travelling through Virginia and Ballyjamesduff on its way to Oldcastle.

Funds raised will support:

💛 Castlerahan National School
💛 Oldcastle Alzheimers Society
