When Even Therapists Need Help💙 Losing the person you love to catastrophic illness - Psychotherapist June Hale shares her life changing experience when her husband was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease with Lewy Body Dementia - this marked the beginning of years of full-time caregiving that would test every emotional resource she had.
June knew she needed support and worked with a Registered BWRT colleague.
“It was life-changing,” Hale says. “I was calmer. I was reacting calmly. And because I was calmer, he was calmer.”
The shift happened almost overnight. “From one day to the next, the difference in me and therefore us was incredible,” “It felt like a switch had been switched.”
