The view from Slieve na Calliagh (Irish: Sliabh na Caillí, meaning 'the hag's mountain'), overlooking the megalithic burial site known as Loughcrew in Co. Meath.
The hills here are named after the Cailleach, the old woman symbolising wisdom in Irish mythology. The megalithic graveyard dates back to the 4th millenium BC and is one of the most important ancient sites in Ireland.

The 18th century Westport House in Co. Mayo was built by the Browne family, who are direct descendants of the famous 16th century Pirate Queen Grainne Mhaol Ni Mhaille (Grace O’Malley). It is said that the mansion house was built on the foundations of one of her many castles along the shores of Clew Bay.
