While sponsorship has always been about connecting – fans with sports and entertainment; consumers with products, services and the companies behind them; sponsors with property partners – businesses and their sponsorship leaders today must embed smarter forms of connectivity into their activities.

Jim Andrews (ONSIDE strategic Consultant) makes the observation that “connecting means going where your target audience is, which in 2022 will take brands and rights holders to more fun places beyond the stadium or arena than ever before.”

This important area of “connections” forms the over-arching theme of our recent Irish Sponsorship Industry Report 2022, entitled “Time to Connect”. It is a topic we will explore in greater depth over the coming weeks through several new ONSIDE blogs called – “The Connection Series 2022”. Stay tuned for the first one next week!
