The RDS was pleased to host the launch of the ESB Science Blast Inclusion Evaluation last week, marking the culmination of two years of focused work on inclusive STEM engagement.

The findings highlight a strongly positive experience, with:
🎉100% student enjoyment
🎉98% feeling able to participate in their own way
🎉97% feeling included and more confident
These results reinforce the importance of designing for meaningful participation and belonging, not just access.

Inclusion remains an ongoing, iterative process, and the insights gathered will continue to inform the evolution of ESB Science Blast and wider practice across the sector.

The RDS proudly welcomes two remarkable individuals as Honorary Life Members. ✨

🎨 Alice Maher - A pioneering artist whose imagination, creativity and vision have helped define contemporary Irish art and inspire audiences around the world.

🏇 William (Willie) P Mullins - One of the most influential and defining figures in the history of horse racing, whose record-breaking career has transformed National Hunt racing and secured his place among the greatest figures the sport has ever known.

Though their paths are very different, both have reached the pinnacle of their fields, inspired countless others and made an exceptional contribution to Ireland.

We are honoured to recognise both recipients and to welcome them to the Royal Dublin Society’s distinguished community of Honorary Life Members.

Calling final‑year students & recent graduates!

Applications are now open for the Other / Overseas category of the RDS Visual Art Awards.

This category supports artists whose degree shows didn’t follow the traditional timeline or who studied abroad ensuring outstanding work still has the opportunity to be seen, supported, and celebrated.

You’re eligible if you are:
• A final‑year BA or MA student whose degree show took place outside the traditional degree‑show period
• An Irish BA or MA student currently studying at an overseas art college
• A 2025 BA or MA graduate whose degree show took place July 2025 – April 2026 and wasn’t assessed for the 2025 RDS Visual Art Awards
