As I travel the culturally rich island of Bali Indonesia, I notice how deep my roots run back home, Naarm Australia.

I have taken the time, a fair bit of time, travelling “Australia” and sitting on different countries within, sitting with elders and learning about our people.

DON’T FORGET “AUSTRALIA” is BLACK. And is home to the oldest living culture on this Earth - only recently colonised and still fighting and struggling for survival.

I believe it’s important to know where you come from, where you were born and where your ancestors are from. What were their practices and how does the history of your home lands affect who you are and the way you think?

All native peoples, all from different places, I have sat with and listened to, speak about knowledge belonging to everyone - knowledge is to be shared.

So talk to those who’s minds hasn’t yet been colonised. And they will tell you about God, about their connection with their ancestral spirits and about prayer. They will tell you how they take care of each other and the Earth because family and nature are the most important things in this life.
They will speak to you about creation stories, sacred sounds that keep harmony and balance. They will share their unique death rituals with you and their beliefs about the afterlife.
They will talk to you about the elements and their connection to them. They will talk about ceremony, discipline, devotion and the legacy they are leaving for the ones to come.

And if you are listening - truly listening - you might begin to feel, what colonisation has done to you. You might begin to feel the stain of fear and separation on your mind and the disease in your body.

DECOLONISATION ~ is the only way forward for HUMANKIND ✨

I feel this Lion’s Gate Portal is supporting us to connect deeper with these frequencies and free ourselves from the colonial cage.

If this resonates join me tomorrow evening 8/8 8pm Melbourne Time - online from Bali ✨✨✨
And for our next SOUL&SOMA fundraiser ~ Dance of Reciprocity - PAY THE RENT - First Nations 12th Friday Sept !

BALI 🌷🌺✨ through my eyes . . .

I haven’t been overseas since before the pandemic 😷, and as a Sagittarius ☀️ a massive part of myself has laid dormant ever since.

I’ve also never traveled overseas with a partner, I’ve never even traveled overseas with FRIENDS! Ahaha I’ve met friends & family overseas but I have always traveled there alone and been on my own adventure.

Growing up, to me Bali seemed just a cheap destination where everyone was going to get drunk and shop!
I’m honestly so glad that I waited until I was older, well traveled and experienced in other cultures - to really begin to receive what is really here. Nothing to do with that stuff!

Perhaps it’s due to the 16+ different bloodlines that run through my lineage, or my father & his family basically being forced to abandon their homelands & much of their culture due to a racist South Africa, but for me

CULTURE IS EVERYTHING

I am meeting myself in a new way - SO MANY NEW WAYS - as a bisexual woman in a le***an partnership in our society and in a foreign country, being a woman of colour raised in a white-washed society built upon the destruction of our First Nations people and taking the money made from that society to this place, where the locals, people of colour are serving me in every way… is somewhat, uncomfortable, confronting and thought provoking.

I AM SO GRATEFUL.
I know I don’t need to feel guilty, however I find myself aware and curious.

I feel that there is a higher, collective heart centred frequency here.
In general the land in singing, humming, the people aren’t angry, they look out for each other, they are smiling and generous.
The way their faith keeps them tending to the balance of all things is very inspiring.
✨✨✨
I am so moved by what I am learning here and how this place is inspiring me to be better and to share more.

I’m so grateful to have spent the first two weeks with my honey love ✨🤍
Feeding every animal we possibly can, sneaky Bali kisses, tea ceremonies, bathing in over 30kg of petals so far and playing our first B2B Set !

❤️❤️❤️

I forgot to mention the FOOD!! Loving this local food and RICE!
