It was the first time I've been back here in 20 years. It's still just as beautiful as in 2005. 😍🌴

Today I stumbled upon a private Balinese ceremony—quiet, sacred, and utterly beautiful. I sat with a respectful distance - and took it all in. 🙏

The colors, the offerings, the chanting—it felt like time paused for a moment.

There’s a depth to Balinese culture that continues to unfold slowly, layer by layer, even after years of being here.

Not everything is meant to be explained. Some things are just meant to be witnessed—with reverence and gratitude.

I was a tsunami volunteer in 2005 ...

And that experience led me to live there for 2 years as an English teacher in a private school.

It's been sooo long since I've been back...

And I am so excited to reconnect with old friends and see what hasn't changed (and also what has), in this beautiful country!
