** NEW SCIENCE ALERT **

Our new publication led by Nicole Pelletier, ‘Insight into manta ray behaviour using animal-borne Crittercams' delves into the lives of manta rays when divers are not around!

In this study, the Crittercams documented the deepest recorded courtship event in reef manta rays at 85+ metres and clocked a maximum depth of 336 metres, whilst oceanic manta rays were tracked down to 118 metres!

The cameras also documented fascinating and rare interspecific interactions between a reef manta ray and spinetail devil rays.
