VARANUS KOMODOENSIS

Known as the last living prehistoric lizard on planet earth, this unique living creature is only found in Komodo National Park. When the eggs are hatchling, the babies will immediately climb up the trees to stay away from the adults. The new-born babies are only 30 cm in length, very similar to the lizard. Then, it takes 7/8 years for the babies to start mating.

LINGKO CARA | Spider-Web Rice Field

The most spectacular rice field formation throughout Flores island. The name of this location is Lingko Cara; Lingko is a local word meaning a large amount of land that is owned by a community, meanwhile Cara refers to a village or a community whom the island belong to. Lingko is marked by a central point called “Lodok”, which is a symbol of the creation of mankind, the unity of male and female, and a sacred place in the field where locals conduct planting and harvesting rituals.

Its pure philosophy and magical scenery always come together, have become an attraction to many eyes. It is highly recommended to come here around March/April and September/October during the green season.
