📍 Gates Of Heaven, Lempuyang Temple, Bali 🇮🇩

the Gate of Heaven has a beautiful background of Agung volcano, Bali’s largest volcano. However the pool of water that is seen in most pictures (including mine above) does not “really” exist. Instead the photographer is holding up a mirror against the camera to create this water illusion 🪞

Traveler’s Tip: This temple can get crowded very quickly, especially during the tourist season. Arrive early so you can avoid long queues and plan your poses in advance because once it’s your turn to take your pics you only get 3-4 poses.

Overall, this temple was worth the 2.5 hour drive at 4:30am. The energy in this temple is very potent!
