🚔 Northern District Homicide Arrest

Detectives have made an arrest in connection with a Northern District homicide.

Tyshawn Brown, 20, has been arrested in the killing of Jaythan Day, 16. The incident occurred on March 6, 2026, in the 1400 block of West Old Cold Spring Lane.

On April 13, 2026, Brown was taken into custody in the 2400 block of Callow Avenue. He was later transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged with first-degree murder.

Police in Baton Rouge have arrested three members of the so-called “60 Gang” in connection with a drug investigation involving the distribution of illegal substances, including fentanyl.

Authorities say the arrests stemmed from information received by detectives, which led to a broader investigation into the group’s alleged activities. Officials stress the dangers of fentanyl and say enforcement efforts against drug trafficking will continue, with more arrests possible.

A Michigan jury has convicted three men of providing material support for a terrorist act in connection with a 2020 kidnapping plot targeting Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
