The rumours are true: I’m on a novel deadline and have forgotten how to be a human. My protagonist, Leni, is fine, though: she’s fed, watered, having a wild old time and going through a hell of a lot more character development than me (she doesn’t need to know her author is currently held together with dry shampoo, green tea, Vyvanse and sheer delusion). If you see me in broad daylight (hisss!), please throw snacks in my direction and proceed with caution.

Thursday throwback to our Women of the Riverina tour!
Slide 2 features a little excerpt from the monologue I wrote for this award-winning production (yes, ICYMI we nabbed an Australian Writer’s Guild Award win for community theatre! Regional theatre kids ftw!). Shoutout to the wonderful .harding___ who brought my piece ‘I Am A River’ to life in the most recent productions in Albury, Tumut and Junee, while special mention to who starred in the Sydney and Wagga shows. So honoured to have a small role in this glorious group project and to see my words and experiences transformed on stage. The vulnerability hangover is long gone, now it’s just pride and joy at being a part of this community and experience with you all. Thank you .simpsonn and all the incredible sponsors and supporters.
