Greetings IAAS newcomers! Congratulations, you're officially a part of IAAS LC IPB and we're thrilled to have you as our family member!

We have a very important event and it's an obligation for you guys to attend in order to be an officially full member of IAAS. It's BOS (Building on Success), with theme COMPASS (Communication and Priority as a Foundation for Success) this program is brought to you to make sure that you have full facilities to acknowledge and understand more about IAAS fully. In order to do that, we will invite some experienced speakers from IAAS LC IPB, IAAS Indonesia, and even IAAS Asia-Pasific! So, make sure to mark your date because BOS will be held on

[World Food Day]

October 16th is celebrated as the World Food Day in honor of the founding of the 'Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations' in 1945. This International event is concerned on food security and the unbalanced spreads of the food globally, that can caused gap between the area that has inadequate amount of food and area that overproduces food.

[PRESS RELEASE: IAAS CONVERSATION CLUB GOES TO EXTERNAL 2018]

The annual event of External and Exchange Program Department, IAAS Conversation Club Goes to External was successfully held on August, 28th 2018. IGTE 2018 brought up issue about "Climate Change and The Effect on The Environment". This year, one of the destinations was The Embassy of Kingdom of Netherlands. This event was attended by 50 participants of IAAS members and Non-IAAS members.

The Deputy Head of Economic Affairs of The Embassy of Kingdom of Netherlands, Mr. Joost Nuijten gave a welcoming remarks by explaining about the work of Netherlands Embassy in Indonesia, especially in Economic sector and he particularly highlighted the Netherlands initiative and collaboration in the sector of energy. Subsequently, Mr. Latif Gau, the President Director of PT. Tidal Bridge, held 3 presentations sequentially. First presentation concerning renewable energy from seaweed. By some process, seaweed can be used to produce an alternative energy. Besides, the residue of the seaweed can be used as food and cosmetics ingredient. In the second presentation, he explained about PT Tidal Bridge that is his own company based in Netherlands. This company produces Water Power Plant which is planted under a bridge that is constructed above a strait with a heavy flow. In the last presentation, Mr. Gau presented about more flexible and affordable solar panel made of plastic. Unlike usual solar panel, this solar panel is very thin that it can be cut and carried easily. This solar panel can be used for a roof of a house and give the house a power supply.
