Behavior tells an important story 👁️
Trauma in orangutans is a complex health challenge. Because they cannot explain what they experience, rehabilitation teams rely on careful observation to understand their recovery.
By observing eating patterns, movement, exploration, and social responses, teams can see how progress unfolds over time. Orangutans like Mema, Bujang, and Putri show how behavior can gradually change with consistent care.
Just like in humans, recovery is not only physical.
