The Afghans I trained are fighting for Putin in Ukraine.

The author of the article in The New York Times introduced himself as an officer of the American commandos (Special Forces), who for many years was an instructor with the Afghan "green Berets" - the special forces of the Afghan army. Trained them in the war against the Taliban. And now many of them, trained by the Americans, according to him, have gone to fight in Ukraine as part of the Wagner PMCs.
