🍲 After a morning underwater (2 dives) our guests have usually worked up an appetite and are ready for lunch. This is one of our favourite dishes and it's considered an Indonesian classic: Mie Ayam Spesial - which translates like this:

🍜 Mie = Noodles
🍗 Ayam = Chicken
🍳 Spesial = Special - it's the fried egg on top that makes it 'special'!

🌶 Our Indonesian chicken noodles are packed with veggies and a little bit of chili to geive a bit of a kick - we can also make without chili if you prefer a milder flavour. The noodles are cooked and then lightly tossed with the vegetables, chicken, spices, and sweet soy sauce. Finally the fried egg on top makes it complete! You can also opt for spicy sambal (chili sauce) if you want to experience even more heat!

🥘 Our restaurant serves both Indonesian and Manadonese dishes as well as international dishes for those who prefer a taste from home. We are also able to cater for dietary restrictions and preferences including vegetarian, vegan, lactose intolerant, gluten free and individual requests whenever possible.

🌿 We aim to source our produce locally to support our local economy, minimize our carbon footprint by avoiding imports, AND to ensure you receive dishes made with the freshest of ingredients!

🪸 Frogfish are not only masters of camouflage, they have also mastered the art of hiding in plain sight. This bold individual seems to blend in to the background seamlessly as a sponge coral - even though it's bright orange!

🐟 Frogfish are rarely seen swimming and much prefer to stay close to the sea bottom where they can 'walk' around. Instead of swimming they use a form of jet propulsion to jump if they need to move faster. Mature frogfish are rarely threatened as prey due to the camouflage abilities keeping them safe and undetected by predators.

📸 Pygmy seahorses have always been a favourite critter for underwater photographers. This is the Bargibanti species of pygmy - the first pygmy seahorse species to be discovered and the largest. In the Lembeh Strait we have THREE species of pygmy seahorse, namely: Bargibanti, Denise, and Pontohi. How many of these species have you seen?

🦓 It's not only pygmy seahorses that we find in the Lembeh Strait, we have several species of seahorses here too including the zebra seahorse, thorny seahorse, and common seahorse.
