As we enter the mid-year, for many of us it is a transitional period. For some it’s a season of change preparing their child to move to a new school or college. For some who had just graduated, they ponder upon their next steps. Then businesses, they go through a mid-year review and realigns themselves to the current economic landscape. Or perhaps God is nudging some to get involved in a specific ministry in the church.

Whenever, wherever and whatever circumstances we find ourselves in, one thing is for sure - we
all go through transitions and seasons of change. And in those moments, we also find another
thing certain – is that God leads us and His presence is always with us to guide us and help us in times of need. We are called to be aware that some of these transitions are God-appointed, and
the bible says that He who calls us is faithful and will do it [see us through]. So how should we
respond in these times of change and transitions?

In this month’s theme, “EN-ROUTE”, we talk about the journey that we take as we go from one
place to another. Through Acts 8-9 we read about the story of Phillip and Paul, who were both
en-route, one directed by the Holy Spirit into the desert road, and the other in his zeal to
persecute the church was on the road to Damascus. And in both stories, we learn how God works and also how we should respond be always being ready as we expectantly follow God’s leading
venturing into the unknown.
